chemergie

competition 2009

The concept attempts to use conservative intervention to bring the unique industrial landscape of the Knapsacker Hill – a former industrial area near to Cologne – closer to the visitor in a natural manner.
All the settlements range out from the location, continuing the industrial character using appropriate means – nothing that does not belong to the location will be added.
The goal of the measures is to strength the enterprise as a place to go and to link it to its surroundings.
